Google is to buy all the electricity generated by Eneco’s 30MW Sunport Delfzijl solar plant in the Netherlands for 10 years.
The electricity will power Google’s data centre at Eemshaven located 32km from the photovoltaic facility.
Sunport comprises 123,000 solar panels over 12 hectares and was developed and built by German energy company Wirsol.
It has been operational since early 2017.
