Adwen chief executive Luis Alvarez is stepping down to be replaced by current chief operations officer Julian Arrillaga from 1 July, a company spokesman told reNEWS.
He added that Hans-Rolf Huppert, former head of Business administration at Siemens Wind Power, will become the turbine manufacturer’s new chief financial officer.
Adwen, which is owned by Siemens Gamesa, has made the changes as part of plans to create two core functions within the company: “Adwen operations” and “French pipeline”, the spokesman said.
Adwen Operations will focus on existing projects as well as servicing already installed wind turbines in Germany.
The French pipeline will cover activities in France, where Adwen has been selected to equip three offshore wind farms – Saint Brieuc, Dieppe Le Tréport, Yeu-Noirmoutier – with a total capacity of close to 1.5 GW.
The planned changes will allow Adwen to align with its parent company and Siemens Gamesa’s new offshore business unit, the spokesman added.
