Spain has announced plans to auction a further 3GW of renewable energy capacity “before the summer”.
The announcement comes soon after the 17 May renewables auction, which allocated capacity totalling 3GW mainly to wind projects.
The Spanish government said that it had made the decision to organise another auction “given the favourable outcome” of the previous event.
It added that the new auction would focus on wind and solar projects.
