Engineering consultancy OST Energy has completed its work for Apex Clean Energy at the 147MW Grant Plains wind farm in Oklahoma.
The consultancy said it certified completion of the wind farm and confirmed the facility’s readiness to meet the commercial obligations of the off-takers.
The scope of work included visiting the site, inspecting the turbines, assessing SCADA data for testing on completion and reviewing of all the technical aspects related to the project, such as construction contracts.
Apex has developed and is operating the plant on behalf of the owner Southern Power.
Apex Clean Energy senior director project management John Stone said: “OST’s team provided an important independent perspective at Grant Plains.
“Their comprehensive monitoring and technical reporting validated the efforts of our project teams in getting the project up and running on schedule, and has helped to confirm that the wind farm will perform in line with expectations.”
