Chinese developer Fujian Zhongmin Offshore Wind Power Company has issued a new tender for a further 24 turbines for the up to 250MW second phase of the Putian Pinghai Bay offshore wind farm in China.
The tender document said the project, which will be located about 12km from Pinghai Town, will consist of no more than 50 turbines with a minimum capacity of 5MW.
It added that a total of 120MW of turbines have already been “successfully bidden” for the project, with the new tender totalling 130MW.
The scope of the tender includes the electric and control system of the turbines and accessories, towers, step-up equipment, ring-network cabinet, monitoring system, spare parts, exclusive tools and relevant technical service.
The first batch of turbines should be delivered before 31 March 2018, with all the machines delivered by 31 September 2019, the tender document said.
The deadline for bids is 16 June.
Two tenders for 20 up to 5MW turbines were issued in February and December last year.
The 50MW first phase of the offshore wind farm started operating last year, featuring XE/DD128 hardware from local manufacturer XEMC Windpower.
A further 600MW phase is also planned.
