VBMS has won the array cabling contract for EnBW’s 112MW Albatros offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
The contract – first revealed in the subscriber-only newsletter reNEWS – includes the supply, installation, burial, termination and testing of 19 33kV inter-array cables.
Installation is scheduled for 2019, following the installation of 79 inter-array cables for EnBW’s nearby 497MW Hohe See offshore wind farm.
Part of the scope for VBMS is to interconnect both wind farms.
The Albatros project will consist of 16 Siemens SWT-7.0-154 turbines erected some 105km north of the island of Borkum.
