IKEA Group has hired OX2 to manage the 45MW Mazeikiai wind farm in northwestern Lithuania.
The project is owned by IKEA and comprises 19 Nordex N117/2400 turbines.
It is the fourth wind farm that OX2 is managing for IKEA.
The other facilities are all in Sweden. They are the Korpfjället project featuring nine Siemens turbines operating since 2011, the Rämsberget scheme comprising seven Vestas machines and the Glötesvålen wind farm with 30 Vestas turbines, both online since 2014.
OX2 has employed one local person to inspect Mazeikiai and to carry out agreement- and stakeholder’s management.
Analysis of data, monitoring and reporting will take place at OX2’s headquarters in Stockholm, the company said.
OX2 managing director for technical and commercial management Lars Bryngelsson said: “We are extremely happy for the continued trust IKEA Group has shown in us and we look forward to creating the optimum conditions for IKEA Group to enjoy the greatest return on its investment.”
