Canadian energy company Boralex posted revenue from energy sales of $119m in the first three months of the year, up 12% on the same period last year.
Earnings were also up at $87m in the quarter, a 9% increase on the $80m reported in 2016.
The company said it was boosted by the acquisition in the first quarter of the 230MW NRWF wind farm, which increased installed capacity by 20%.
Boralex said 2017 will see more growth in its hydro and wind power businesses. By the end of the year, it expects five new wind farms totalling 76MW to come online, as well as the 16MW Yellow Falls hydro facility.
A further 79MW of new projects will be added in France in 2018, followed by commissioning of the 50MW Otter Creek wind farm in Canada in 2019.
