Sea Installer ready for Race

A2Sea jack-up Sea Installer has arrived in Hull to start turbine load-out for Dong Energy’s 573MW Race Bank wind farm off the coast of Norfolk.

The vessel will now begin loading the first of 91 Siemens 6MW machines, which are to be installed at the wind farm.

Sea Installer arrived at the Humberside port from Newcastle, where four adapter rings were bolted onto the craft ahead of load-out.

Turbine installation is expected to get underway later this month.
