Spanish tower manufacturer Navacel has completed the load out of turbine components for Statoil’s 30MW Hywind Scotland floating offshore wind farm.
The tower sections have been shipped to the project construction base at the NorSea Group’s Stordbase facility in Norway.
Five Siemens 6MW turbines will feature at the project on floating spar foundations manufactured by Navantia in Spain.
The wind farm is due to start offshore construction shortly and be commissioned by year-end.
