Transmission operator 50Hertz and a group of offshore wind developers are seeking provision of rescue helicopter services covering projects, ships and connection infrastructure in the Baltic Sea.
Workscope includes year-round 24/7 availability of the aircraft and specially-trained medical crew during both construciton and operation of a range of projects.
Assets included in the deal include EnBW’s operational 50MW Baltic 1 and 288MW Baltic 2 projects as well as Iberdrola’s under-construction 350MW Wikinger and Eon’s 385MW Arkona, also under construction.
The deal will also cover rescue of “injured persons from the platforms and wind turbines and from the installation ships being used”, said 50Hertz.
Service will start in October 2017 and run for three years with a further 12-month option. Interested parties have until 4 May to register for participation.
