ERM Power has signed an agreement to buy the so-called large-scale generation certificates produced by the 212MW Lincoln Gap wind farm in South Australia.
The Australian utility will purchase the certificates generated by the facility in coming years from developer Nexif Energy, ERM said.
The wind farm near Port Augusta will feature 59 Senvion turbines.
Last month, ERM signed a deal with Edify Energy to buy the power and the certificates generated by the 58MW Hamilton solar park in Queensland.
“We’re helping deliver new wind and solar energy into the system like this Nexif Energy wind project due to commence construction west of Port Augusta this year,” ERM chief executive Jon Stretch said.
“ERM Power delivers 20% of the energy fuelling business, government and industrials in Australia, which has enabled us to underpin the construction of new renewable infrastructure.”
