RES has been given permission on appeal to build the 12-turbine Aberarder wind farm in the Scottish Highlands.
Holyrood officials overturned local authority rejection of the project in spring 2016 which had been based largely on visual impacts.
Aberarder on the south side of Loch Ness will feature hardware of up to 130 metres and top power of 36MW.
The wind farm is close to SSE’s 94MW Dunmaglass wind farm (pictured), which was also developed by RES.
RES holds a April 2019 grid connection offer for the wind farm in the Monadhliath mountains.
