Facebook is to build its next data centre in Papillion, Nebraska, supplied by 100% renewable energy from Omaha Public Power District (OPPD).
OPPD and Facebook have agreed a renewable energy tariff for the supply called Rate 261M.
To qualify for the rate a customer must require a minimum of 20MW of electricity for the 161kV service and 200MW for the 345kV service.
The data centre will be located in Sarpy County.
