Upsolar System Italia is to offer floating solar services to the European market.
The company said it will use a structures created by Koine, a design company that specialises in floating platforms.
Upsolar modules will be mounted on top of a galvanised steel assembly that sits on top of high-density polyethylene floats anchored in place by nylon cables.
The surrounding body of water acts as a cooling system that lowers the panel’s operating temperature, increasing the module efficiency by an average of 15%, the company added.
