Ralls Corp and Star Wind are partnering to develop, own and operate 1GW of wind farms in North America.
The companies said the projects will be developed over the next five years using turbines manufactured by Chinese outfit Sany Group, of which Ralls is an affiliate.
The projects will be built with long-term power purchase agreements with utility, industrial and commercial electricity users, the partners said.
Star Wind, part of US outfit Star Energy Holdings, has developed more than 1GW of wind projects over the last 15 years.
