UK renewables developer Infinergy is targeting expansion beyond the UK having been bought out by top management.
Chief executive Esbjorn Wilmar and chief financial officer Tjiwolt Wierda have acquired the company from Koop Duurzame Energie, which bought it in 2008.
Wilmar said Infinergy has started development of wind and solar projects in the Netherlands and Australia.
“The first planning consent for a wind project in the Netherlands is expected in the coming weeks,” he added.
UK wind will continue to be a market for the company, with large-scale projects focused “firmly” on Scotland, said Wilmar.
“In partnership with Greensolver UK, we will continue to provide construction and asset management services to projects we have previously divested from. These services will also be provided to third parties,” he added.
