Pattern Energy has completed the 184.6MW Meikle wind farm in British Columbia.
The project comprises 61 GE turbines – a mix of 3.2MW-103 and 2.75MW-120 machines – and has a 25-year power purchase agreement with BC Hydro.
It is expected to generate $70m in payments for property taxes, Crown lease payments, wind participation rent and community benefits over the first 25 years of operations.
Pattern Development chief executive Mike Garland said: “Meikle Wind is now the largest wind facility in British Columbia, increasing the installed wind power capacity in the province by 37%.”
