Dutch engineers KCI has had the scope extended of its contract with Chinese company Huadian Heavy Industries for work on an offshore substation.
The job will now also entail pile driveability analyses, on top of the design review, fabrication preparation, load out and installation engineering of the substation.
KCI was first selected by Huadian Heavy Industries in December for the substation work.
The contract with Huadian Heavy Industries is the Dutch company’s first in China.
