BayWa has sold a trio of UK solar farms totalling 100MW to a fund managed by insurance giant Allianz.
The developer has now sold all of its UK solar assets that were built last year. Included in the latest deal with Allianz Renewable Energy Fund 2 is the 45MW Vine Farm project.
All three sites have long-term power purchase agreements in place.
Board member Matthias Taft said the company is “well prepared for future developments in the energy sector” on the back of the deal.
BayWa will stay on to provide technical and commercial operations management.
