Lloyd’s Register has launched a new subsea inspection service for the offshore wind industry.
The unit, which will also operate in the oil and gas field, is headed up by the company’s subsea inspection manager Andrew Inglis.
Services include project management, consultancy, personnel, quality control, data processing and data management, applicable to ROV, AUV and diver projects.
It is eyeing part of the €200bn in capital expenditure that it believes will be spent on global offshore wind by 2025.
“LR has significant expansion plans for the subsea sector and has invested in technology and people to ensure that we deliver high quality services and tangible cost and efficiency benefits for our customers,” it said.
