German developer Juwi has surpassed 2GW of cumulative wind installations following the commissioning of a Vestas V126 turbine in its home country.
The milestone was hit after the machine started operating this week at Gollenberg in Rhineland-Palatinate, Juwi said.
The company has installed more than 900 wind turbines over the past 20 years at about 150 sites in Germany, Costa Rica, Uruguay, USA, Poland and France.
It has developed 16 wind farms in partnership with GE since 2013.
Under a deal signed in November, Juwi will receive up to 110 turbines from the US company through 2018.
