Vestas has received an order from Energie Baden-Württemberg to supply 12 wind turbines in southern Germany.
The Danish manufacturer will install a combination of V126-3.45MW and V126-3.3MW machines at the local utility’s Langenburg wind farm in Baden-Württemberg, it said
Turbines will be delivered and commissioned from the second half of the year.
The V126-3.3MW machines will have a hub height of 137 metres while the V126-3.45MW will top 117 metres.
“By combining V126-3.3MW with V126-3.45MW turbines, both among our top performers for low-wind sites, for this project in southern Germany, EnBW highlights that Vestas’ technology offerings can be customised to any site and provide a strong business case”, Vestas Central Europe president Nils de Baar said.
