Boralex has closed the acquisition of Enercon Canada’s economic interest in the 230MW Niagara Region wind farm in Ontario for $232.4m.
The project was commissioned in November and comprises 77 Enercon E-101 turbines.
The wind farm will benefit from a 20-year feed-in tariff contract with the province-owned IESO.
Boralex said the project is expected to generate approximately $84m in annual run-rate EBITDA.
The transaction was financed in part through a public offering that raised approximately $172,518,975.
