SeaRoc Group’s SeaPlanner has been selected to support construction of the DEME-led consortium’s 396MW Merkur offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
The contract, which was awarded by principal contractor GeoSea, includes the provision of integrated personnel and vessel tracking software, access control hardware and installation and setup of the marine coordination centre in Eemshaven in the Netherlands.
SeaRoc Group project manager Mick Cooper said: “We’re delighted to have been awarded the contract and are excited to be implementing some of our new functionality on the Merkur project.
“Over the last year or so we’ve been developing a number of partnerships in order to enhance the offering to our clients – we’re delighted to be working with Oceanwise on this project where we will be integrating metocean feeds generated by their various data capture devices.”
Merkur is located approximately 45km north of the islands of Borkum and will consist of 66 GE 6MW Haliade turbines.
