Dominion Virginia Power has completed construction on three solar plants in Virgina totalling 56MW.
The projects are located in Isle of Wight, Louisa and Powhatan counties and created 550 jobs during construction.
The 20MW Louisa facility features 83,600 panels, the 17MW Powhatan plant has 71,820, and the 19MW Isle of Wight project consists of 79,572.
Dominion said the cumulative economic impact from 2015–2017 for the state from the projects is $74.2m.
Amec Foster Wheeler was construction contractor and managed the facilities through the engineering and environmental permitting process, Dominion said.
Dominion developed the Louisa facility, but acquired the development rights for Isle of Wight from Coronal Development Services and Powhatan from Virginia Solar.
