Enercon has installed turbines totalling 1GW in Ireland and Northern Ireland, following installation of hardware at the 27.6MW Long Mountain wind farm in Antrim.
The project, which was developed by Energia, consists of 12 E70 E4/2.3MW turbines on 64-metre steel towers.
Enercon has had a presence on the island since 1998 when it provided 10 E40 500kW machines for the Crockahenny wind farm in Donegal.
The company said it now employs 225 people in Ireland and Northern Ireland and has a 30% market share.
