The Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult has launched a tender to secure a grid emulation system for its test facility in northern England.
The 24-month contract comprises the design, supply and installation of a system including cabling and containment at the site in Blyth, Northumberland.
It will be used in the 15MW wind and 3MW marine nacelles and powertrain test facilities.
The system will allow ORE Catapult to conduct electrical power quality tests as well the accelerated validation of wind and marine renewable energy devices in a controlled environment, the notice shows.
Interested companies can express interest until 31 January 2017.
