Vestas has secured an order to supply 77 turbines for MidAmerican Energy’s 2GW Wind XI project in Iowa.
The manufacturer will deliver and commission V110 2MW machines produced at its Colorado facilities, it said. Delivery is expected next year.
The contract also includes a five-year active output management 5000 service deal.
Vestas already secured two other orders for the Wind XI project earlier this month and in September.
The company said it expects further orders for the facility under a master agreement with the Berkshire Hathaway Energy outfit.
