German company Global Renewables Shipbrokers (GRS) has provided brokerage services for a European wind farm developer carrying out a geotechnical soil survey in Taiwanese waters.
The work, which is GRS’s first assignment in Taiwan, was for the near shore Guanyin and Taoyuan Hsinchu wind farms.
It consisted of “piezocone penetrometer testing including oversampling of cone penetration tests”, GRS said.
GRS managing partner Philippe Schönefeld said: “We are proud to have successfully been involved in our first project in Taiwan and look forward to further bring our service and expertise into the area, where rapid growth in offshore wind activities is expected.”
