Senvion has signed an agreement to extend the operations and maintenance contracts for two wind farms in the US with 95 turbines in total.
The 15-year extension covers the 139MW Twin Ridges wind farm near the Maryland/Pennsylvania border as well as the 55MW Howard facility in Steuben County, New York.
The Twin Ridges contract will now run from next March until 2032 while the Howard agreement will span until 2033, Senvion said.
Both wind farms consist of MM92 turbines supplied by the German manufacturer.
Senvion’s US unit, based in Denver, has installed 1.2GW across the country to date.
“With service teams across the country, and a spare parts facility in Portland, Oregon, Senvion USA has built up a strong operations and maintenance team,” Senvion North America chief executive Helmut Herold said.
