Gamesa and Spanish developer Elecnor have won a contract to build an 86MW wind farm in southern Jordan, its second project in the Middle Eastern country.
They will install the Al Rajef wind farm in the region of Maan for Green Watts Renewable Energy Company, a unit of Alcazar Energy, and will operate it for 20 years.
The facility will comprise 41 G114-2.1MW turbines supplied by Gamesa.
Delivery of the hardware will start in autumn 2017, while commissioning is scheduled for September 2018.
Gamesa has already built the 80MW Maan wind farm with Elecnor.
