EDP Renewables North America has closed $114m in equity finance from MUFG and another investor in exchange for a stake in the 101MW Amazon Wind Farm US Central project in Ohio.
The wind farm has a long-term power purchase agreement to supply Amazon Web Services.
It is expected to start operations in May 2017.
EDPR said the “institutional partnership structure established enables an efficient utilization of the fiscal benefits to be generated by the project”.
