France has opened a “competitive dialogue” process to help select potential candidates to develop the Round 3 offshore wind farm planned off Dunkirk.
The process aims to allow stakeholders to exchange views on the development, as well as determine the area for the wind farm.
It also aims to reduce delays by allowing candidates to update and improve their proposals during the process.
Around 500MW has been proposed previously for the Dunkirk area, while France also recently extended the Round 3 tender to include a site off the island of Oleron on the country’s Atlantic coast.
