NTR has acquired the 28.7MW Twin Rivers wind farm in Yorkshire from InfraRed Environmental Infrastructure Fund and the Co-operative Group for £80m.
The project consists of 14 Senvion MM92 turbines and is expected to come online before the end of the year.
It is eligible for the Renewables Obligation Certificate regime, with a power purchase agreement and debt financing expected to be in place by the first quarter of next year, NTR said.
NTR chief executive Rosheen McGuckian said: “This is the 10th acquisition of onshore wind assets in the UK and Ireland by our NTR Wind 1 fund, bringing total MWs under management up to just over 170MW.”
The Irish company is planning a second sustainable infrastructure fund, which it expects to launch in 2017.
