RES has been awarded a five-year contract to provide operations and maintenance services for the offshore transmission assets at the 183.6MW Walney 1 offshore wind farm off the Cumbria coast.
The assets are owned by Blue Transmission Walney 1, which awarded the contract after a competitive bidding process.
RES said it will carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, as well as provide asset and site management, logistics, subsea surveys and control centre services.
RES AO&M general manager Filippo Di Salle said: “Winning our first long term maintenance contract on an operating offshore wind farm is a great achievement for RES.”
