Aquila Capital has agreed to acquire the 65MW Hogkolen wind farm in Sweden from developer OX2.
The project will feature 18 Vestas V126-3.6MW turbines with a tip height of 205 metres and full operation is scheduled for end-2018.
OX2 will build the project in Ljusdal north of Stockholm under a “fully wrapped EPC contract”.It is the second tie-up between the parties in recent months.
Hogkolen features wind speeds of eight metres per second at hub height and it is estimated will produce 244GWh of electricity per annum.
“Hogkolen is a technologically advanced project at an ideal site with excellent wind conditions and therefore perfectly adds to our existing portfolio in Scandinavia,” said Aquila Capital.
“The project will strengthen our market position in the Nordic region where we are currently building six wind farms delivering a total of 420 MW,” said OX2.
