GE has signed a framework agreement with German developer Juwi for the supply of up to 110 wind turbines through 2018.
The supply and service deal covers the newly-developed 3.6-137 and 3.8-130 machines of GE’s 3MW class, which have hub heights of up to 164.5 metres.
The framework contract was concluded after intensive one-year negotiations, Juwi said.
The companies have jointly implemented 16 wind farms since the start of their cooperation in 2013.
“GE has proven to be a reliable partner,” Juwi purchasing manager Maximilian Nowak said.
“The newly-developed large onshore machines are very well suited to our project pipeline.”
