Gaelectric will officially open its 9.2MW Cloonty wind farm in Northern Ireland today.
The £13.4m County Antrim project, which is Gaelectric’s fourth operating wind farm in the North, comprises four Enercon turbines with maximum blade tip heights of 110 metres.
It has created over 20 full-time and part-time jobs during the development and construction phases, the company said.
Gaelectric head of corporate affairs Patrick McClughan said: “Our total permitted portfolio now stands at 140MWs in Northern Ireland and represents a total investment of approximately £170m.”
