Mars is partnering with Vive Energia and Envision to power its five plants in Mexico from next year with electricity generated by a wind farm.
The plants are located in Querétaro, Nuevo León, Jalisco and the state of Mexico.
It is the third wind farm deal Mars has signed.
In 2015, the company opened its 118-turbine wind farm at Mesquite Creek in Texas, which provides power to Mars’ entire US operations.
In 2016, Mars announced a partnership with Eneco to activate a 20-turbine wind farm in Scotland to power all of its UK operations.
The company plans to eliminate all fossil fuel use from its operations by 2040.
