Senvion is to supply 33 3.4M114 turbines to the 112.2MW Egersund wind farm in Norway, its first contract in the Scandinavian country.
Turbine installation is slated to start in the second quarter of 2017, with commissioning to be complete by the third quarter of the same year.
The turbines will have hub heights of 93 metres.
A Senvion service center in Egersund will be responsible for turbine maintenance for 15 years.
The project, which will be located on the North Sea coast between Kristiansand and Stavanger, is owned by asset manager Luxcara and will be part of the portfolio of the Flaveo Infrastructure Europe SCS SICAV-FIS – Solar and Wind fund.
Senvion chief executive Jürgen Geissinger said: “The contract for Egersund wind farm is a milestone which reflects the clear global growth strategy of Senvion and its potential to enter new markets with innovative and optimally adapted products.”
