Energinet.dk and 50Hertz Transmission have issued a tender for unexploded ordnance (UXO) services for the Kriegers Flak combined grid solution.
The tender calls for a geophysical survey, inspection of possible UXO and removal or detonation of UXO for the project, which will connect the Danish and German grids via the 600MW Kriegers Flak and 288MW Baltic 2 offshore wind farms.
The aim of the work is to reduce the risk level at the installation area along the two cable routes to “as low as reasonably practicable”, said Energinet.dk and 50Hertz Transmission.
The tender is open until the 31 October.
