Eon has successfully concluded emergency drills at the 302MW Amrumbank West offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
During the operation, the Eon team rescued a staff member with a simulated injury from a turbine nacelle in the wind farm, which is situated 37 kilometres west of Amrum island.
The drills involved first aid and a hoist operation to bring an emergency doctor on to the turbine.
The patient was transported to a helicopter rescue team in 30 minutes, Northern Helicopter said.
