Iron Mountain, a US storage and information management services company, is to buy 10% of the electricity generated by 253MW Amazon Wind Farm Texas in Scurry County.
The wind farm, under development by Lincoln Clean Energy, is expected to be completed next year.
It will provide about 30% of Iron Mountain’s North American electricity footprint, covering all its 75 operations in Texas and some in additional states.
Iron Mountain senior vice president of corporate responsibility and chief diversity officer Ty Ondatje said: “We believe that renewable energy strategies can benefit our business, positioning Iron Mountain and our customers to meet the growing expectations for sustainable business practices.”
