Swiss company MECI Group International has agreed a deal with the Iranian government to build a 270MW wind farm in Iran.
MECI said it has signed a five-year power purchase agreement with the country’s energy ministry at a fixed feed-in tariff.
The project is expected to cost $839m to complete, MECI said.
The company said it also expects to complete further agreements for up to 500MW of new renewable energy projects in Iran.
