Swiss investor IST3 Investment Foundation has acquired two wind farms in Bavaria, Germany, totalling 53MW from Max Bogl Ostwind for an undisclosed price.
The Reichertshull project in Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen county features 11 Nordex N131/3300 turbines, while the adjacent Workerszeller Forst facility in Eichstatt county comprises five of the same model.
Operation and maintenance of the wind farms, which have been operational since last year, will continue to be carried out by the same unnamed local companies, the buyer said.
IST3 Investment Foundation managing director Markus Anliker said: “Our investors, all of them Swiss occupational pension providers, are 100% behind the investments in renewable energy in our neighbouring country Germany, one of the most important foreign markets for us.”
Max Bogl Ostwind is a joint venture between Regensburger Ostwind Group and Max Bogl Group.
