The first turbine has been erected at RES’s 25MW Minnygap wind farm in Dumfries and Galloway in Scotland.
The project will feature 10 Nordex N100 2.5MW units measuring up to 125 metres high to the tip of the blade.
Turbine components are being transported to the project site near Johnstonebridge from King George V Docks in Glasgow and Ayr Harbour.
The wind farm is scheduled to be operational in spring 2017.
