Siemens has appointed UK outfit Boston Energy to provide technicians to assist with pre-assembly work for the 402MW Dudgeon offshore wind farm off the Norfolk coast.
The technicians will start supporting the Siemens teams in Hull with the construction up to 67 6MW wind turbines next month, the recruitment services provider said.
The pre-assembly site is based in a newly-constructed facility at Alexandra Dock in Hull, it said.
Dudgeon offshore wind farm is expected to start operating in early 2017.
“It’s great news to be involved in the pre-assembly project at Hull and to see the work being awarded to Boston Energy as a local company,” Boston Energy operations manager Adrian Yeaman said.
