Florida Power & Light (FPL) has reached the halfway point on the installation of solar panels at three projects totalling 223.5MW in the US state.
Each project will have 74.5MW of generating capacity, and, in total, comprise about 1m solar panels.
The solar centers are located in Manatee, DeSoto and Charlotte counties and will come online before the end of the year.
FPL president and chief executive Eric Silagy said: “We’re tripling the amount of solar energy we generate for our customers this year, and we plan to continue adding more cost-effective solar in the future.”
