The offshore high voltage station (OHVS) for the 165MW Belwind 2 offshore wind farm off the coast of Belgium has been installed.
Danish company Bladt Industries and partner Semco Maritime tackled fabrication of the structures. Jan de Nul is the engineering, procurement, construction and installation contractor for Belwind 2.
The substation foundation for the wind farm near Zeebrugge was successfully installed last month.
The Nobelwind project will feature 50 V112 3.3MW MHI Vestas turbines, with commissioning scheduled for next year.
